Gemini AI: Easy prompt

A set of actions to bring Google’s Gemini AI directly into your writing workflow.

These actions allow you to select any text in the editor (an email draft, a code snippet, a question) and receive an AI response immediately below your cursor. It is designed to be “non-destructive”, it never overwrites your prompt, only appends the answer.

Why Gemini?

These actions are pre-configured to use Gemini 2.5 Pro, which is currently the most capable model available on Google’s free tier. It offers reasoning capabilities similar to GPT-4 but without the subscription cost.

Included Actions:

• Ask Gemini 2.5 Pro: Best for complex reasoning, coding fixes, and rewriting text.
• Ask Gemini 2.5 Flash: Best for speed, quick lists, and simple formatting.

Features:

• Inline Processing: Highlighting text and running the action appends the result instantly.
• Smart Formatting: Inserts a double newline to keep your notes clean.
• Secure: Your API Key is stored safely in Drafts Credentials.

Setup:

1. Get a free API Key from Google AI Studio.
2. Run any of the actions.
3. Paste your key when prompted.

Advanced: Using Gemini 3.0 Pro

If you have a paid Google API plan with access to the cutting-edge Gemini 3.0 Pro:
1. Edit the "Ask Gemini” action.
2. Tap the Script step.
3. Change the first line from "gemini-2.5-pro" to "gemini-3.0-pro".
